Fatality Accident Investigation Team

The Fatality Accident Investigation Team (F.A.I.T) is a joint team comprised of Deputies and Officer's from the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office and the Kearney Police Department. F.A.I.T is tasked with investigating accidents resulting in serious injuries or fatalities along with reconstructing crime scenes of serious incidents within the City of Kearney and Buffalo County. The team consists of several certified Accident Reconstructionist that utilize specialized 3D Laser Scanning equipment and Drone technology to document and reconstruct scenes as well as assist in determining the cause and outcome of an incidents.
